Elianna Perlman, President

Elianna is a senior from South Orange, NJ and is honored to be your President! She has served NFTY-GER as a Program Coordinator and Programming Vice President and is actively engaged in the Jewish community. She has spent five summers at URJ 6 Points Sci-Tech Academy She is also the Senior Patrol leader of her Scouts BSA troop. Elianna enjoys reading, embroidery, listening to music, and safely spending time with her friends.

 


Jacob Levin, Programming Vice President

Jacob is a junior from Montvale, NJ. For the past two years, Jacob has worked as a Program Coordinator on NFTY-GER’s Regional Cabinet. Last year, he acted as ReTRo Vice President, and this past year he was delighted to serve BarTY as a leading member of their Ritual and Programming Committee. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys participating in his school theatre program, playing guitar, and reading.


Jadyn Turner, Social Action Vice President

Jadyn has had the pleasure of serving as President of her Temple Youth Group for the past two years. Jadyn has also had the privilege of serving as Chapter Lead for Students Demand Action and President for Make Our Schools Safe Dream Team. In her free time, Jadyn enjoys going on long runs and reading.


Jacob Shinder, Religious & Cultural Vice President

Jacob is a Senior from Closter, New Jersey. He has served as the Programming Vice President for two years on his Temple Youth Group Board and then as NFTY-GER's RCVP. Jacob is a proud member of his music department and loves to sing tunes and play trumpet, guitar, and more! In his free time, Jacob watches action/comedy movies, walks his dog Ginger, rides his bike, and helps his family with technology issues.


Daisy Nashel, Membership Vice President

Daisy is a junior from Millburn, New Jersey and is excited to serve as your Membership Vice President. Last year she served as a Family Chair on the NFTY-GER cabinet. This was her way of not only making everyone feel welcome, but attempting to create a family-esque experience. When she’s not ecstatically leading mixers, Daisy adores dancing on her varsity cheer team and dance company, researching her friend’s birth charts, or writing fiction stories.


Rachel Smet, Recruitment Vice President

Rachel is a junior from Marlboro, New Jersey and is so excited to serve this year as Recruitment VP. Last year she served as the Social Action Vice President and the co-Social Media VPs on her Temple Youth Group board.   Rachel also served as the High School Engagement Chair underneath for NFTY-GER. She has lived in four different states and has moved five times! Rachel enjoys hiking, reading, and watching movies. You can always catch her talking about the latest horror movies!


Nathan Perlman, Financial Vice President

Nathan Perlman is a Junior from South Orange, New Jersey and is delighted to be serving NFTY-GER as the Financial Vice President for a second time this year. Nathan has served three years on the board of his Temple Youth Group, including one year as the Financial Vice President. He has also served on NFTY-GER’s cabinet as the Fundraising Chair and the Shuk Manager. Nathan is also involved in Scouts and has served as his troop’s Senior Patrol Leader and the Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. Nathan is excited to help the region thrive financially in the upcoming year.

NFTY Garden Empire Region is governed by a board of teen leaders who are elected by their peers that serve a one-year term. Regional board members play a critical role in all aspects of running the region including event planning and marketing, and mentoring teen leaders from our local youth communities. The regional board is mentored and supported by the NFTY East Area Manager.
