NFTY-GER Virtual Spring Kallah

April 24-25, 2020

Spring Kallah is open to all 8th-12th graders! Throughout the weekend, we’ll celebrate our community as we welcome our 8th graders into high-school level NFTY and begin saying goodbye to our seniors. No matter how many events you’ve been to, Spring Kallah is sure to be a meaningful part of your NFTY journey!

Since this is our first Virtual Kallah, be sure to read all information below regarding the weekend, including schedule, what you should have ready to "bring" with you, and popular questions for how you can make the best of this virtual kallah!

This event is open to any Jewish teen in grades 8 to 12.

  • Teens are expected to participate in the entire event. 

NFTY-GER's Virtual Spring Kallah Schedule

You are welcome to come to as many virtual elements of the weekend or as few as you want. Choose your own adventure! You MUST register by Thursday, April 23 to guarantee you receive all pertinent weekend information.

NFTY-GER Spring Kallah Virtual Packing List

To be sure you are ready for an incredible virtual Spring Kallah, be sure to have the following items available:

  • A computer with a video camera
  • Computer charger
  • Headphones
  • Snacks
  • Water
  • Comfortable clothes
  • Cozy Blanket
  • Asefah has a "formal" theme, so on Saturday at 2pm, come dressed in your fanciest prom dresses and suits!

  • A: All Jewish 8th-12th graders in the NFTY Garden Empire Region


  • Q: How much is NFTY-GER Virtual Spring Kallah?
  • A: It is FREE!


  • Q: What platform will we be using to come together virtually?
  • A: We will be using Zoom. For the safety and security of our community, ALL participants are required to register with their real first and last name and will be screened in a virtual waiting room prior to being admitted into programs. You will receive specific links to join upon registration.


  • Q: I am a senior. What special senior activities will there still be for me?
  • A: We will still have a senior circle on Saturday evening to share your fondest memories with the GER community. We will also have a special Late Night Seniors Only program after Spring Kallah has concluded. You must be registered for Virtual Spring Kallah in order to attend either of these programs.


  • Q: Is there a virtual "packing" list?
  • A: Yes! Check out the packing list tab on this event page to see what you should have ready to "bring" with you!


  • Q: Do I have to attend every activity?
  • A: No, you do not. You can pick what works best for you. We have also built it many breaks so you are not sitting in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time.
